I am personally glad he didn’t wear a mask. He showed the rest of us that we all can do something to help end the stigma of mental illness. He has given so many the courage to talk about mental health, especially the importance of acknowledging it in children and adolescents. I am truly blessed to get to see, talk to and joke with him every day.

You are doing something so important that will not only make a significant difference in people’s lives, but has inspired so many others to do something with their time and gifts as well! I am so proud of your perseverance & determination (I know how hard you had to work to get everyone on board – especially mom, lol!) and for doing what you knew in your heart was important! Keep up the amazing effort! Thinking of you lots, Miss Redmond

Comment on A Mom’s Perspective – Why I Let My Son Dream BIG by Ruth Mugfordhttps://zachmakestracks.ca/a-moms-perspective-why-i-let-my-son-dream-big/#comment-6 Thu, 15 Jun 2017 23:00:09 +0000 https://zachmakestracks.ca/?p=1892#comment-6 Way to go Zach. Your energy and drive will help so many others and is a true inspiration to anyone that has suffered with mental illness.

And kudos to your mom for realizing there are things to say no to and dreams isn’t one of them. My sons wanted to be in the NHL, they were both awesome hockey players and all I ever asked of them was to stay in school, so they could sign their contracts!

Keep it up Zach, thanks
